Bethany Beach
Loaded up the family truckster powered over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, DelMarVa Peninsula, then thru Ocean City and landed in Bethany Beach Delaware. Nice, quaint and good for the kids. Great weather. Less than 3.5 hours from the 757. Dewey Beach looks like an even better place to stay. Tried 3 new beers this weekend, highlighted by
Shmaltz Bittersweet's Lenny R.I.P.A. (yes, an Imperial Rye IPA, almost as good as Hop Rod Rye, less Hoppy.) So good, makes the beer in control this week.
College FootballBCO and many others called a few upsets this weekend, not patting my back, history says this happens a few times a year. Texas, Florida and Okie State looked good knocking out 3 top 5 teams in doing so. Of the undefeated teams only BYU and State Penn have a chance of going thru unscathed. I think they'll both lose but they have the best shot. Texas DCoord Muschamp is a helluva DC, he's the only guy I may take over Bud Foster. Florida's team speed is unreal, not sure any team has ever had 4 guys so fast who could make plays. When a team has 3 guys as faster or likely faster than Percy Harvin on the field, you can fly. The whole power running is there flaw, unless Urban is saving Tebow for later, not to get him knicked up. Mizzou looked bad, one has to think they'll rebound well vs Texas in Austin this weekend, the game of the weekend.
Tommy, Whipping Boy No MoreRumor was he would be canned at the end of the year after Thursday's loss, I guess that couldn't fast enough. Let the names rise to the surface as his replacement, possibly sinking a season or 2 for a few teams. Clemson with that talent is a good job. Right now the team chemistry is in bad shape.
algroh, Here to StayWhat the heck happenend there, 3 weeks ago getting spanked by the dooookies and now on a hot win streak? Spanking the hot Terps then handling the falling fast Pirates. We Hokie fans need to be happy, Groh isn't going anywhere!!

Overall B
Food was tasty, chicken/shrimp club smothered in cheese, tasty. Beer was what I expected, though nothing "special" on tap. Palo Santo drinks like a slightly carbonated wine, interesting. The service and atmosphere was lacking. Our bartender was disinterested and lacked beer knowledge, but did have nice cans. The other was still hungover from last nite and told the t-shirt guy (also hungover and mopey even after 2 witnessed red bulls) that he didn't feel like working tonite while escaping his clients. The clientele was a bit older than I expected and a little reserved. Next time up I will do the brewery tour, hopefully, they care more there.
